Back home!

Our two days in Exeter were funny and sad! Our students didn't want to come back! They have met a lot of people and have had a great time. We want to say thank you to them for their behaviour and their enthusiasm, it's been an easy job for all of us! Thanks again!
And here some pictures of our last disco!

Wesnesday, 10th of July

Hiya! How are you? The students are very happy, sorry to tell you they all would love to stay a bit longer... But we'll definetely flying back home on Sarurday morning!
After the morning lessons and having lunch, the students had their sports activities and most of our group went canoeing again, but Marta didn't this time... They didn't fall in the water, they, simply, HAD A BATH!!!! They said it was so hot, that they decided to jump into the quay water. This water is a bit green, dirty and with weeds! Arghhhhh! I am sure they had to be really hot!
There were five students of our group who decided to practise free sports instead of canoeing. There were other activities such as swimming and golf, but they didn't choose any of them.

Tuesday and Dartmoor!

Hello again! We have met at 9:00 for our daily morning assembly. We all sit snd listen to Chris' speech about the general day and then Rosie tells us about the afternoon activities.

Today we went to Dartmoor, a National Park with its own species of ponies. It's a very beautiful park and we have been walking for a while. I fell because one of my students tried to scare me and we both fell! Well, nothing to be worried about!

This was a poo fight between Maria and Juli!

Dartmoor ponies. Don't touch them because they are dangerous, they bite!

Tomorrow more!

Monday, 8th of July

Monday, 8th July
Our last week starts today. As always, we had class in the morning, and a busy afternoon with the IPC Olympics. We had different games to do with our activities groups, but we didn't win... Anyway, as you can see in the pictures, we had a funny time.

Adri's group, sorry to say that they don't have a chance...

That's Francesc, Jaume and Marc's group

That's Alex!

In the evening we had our 'Talent Night', and the Spanish group was represented by Adri and Juli. OMG! We laughed a lot and everybody participated in their show. Amazing boys and good for them.
The party finished with everybody dancing 'La Macarena', Ahhhhhhh!

The students waiting for the show to start

This activity leader, Tom, sings and plays the guitar veeeeeeery well!

Alex is presenting his friends' show.

Juli and Adri's show

Laia can't stop laughing!

Our students performing 'I'm a Barbie girl...', Marta and Gloria were their main fans!

And they are making looooooots of friends!

Finally, my last words of today go for Francesc, Jaume and Marc because they don't get lost anymore! And they are our most punctual students. Good for them!

Sunday, free day

It's one week since we arrived in Exeter. Now we are enjoying the real city... We know the city centre, the cafés, the supermakets, the shops, the buses, etc. We decided to take our students for a walk down the Quay, where we had lunch and saw a rowing competition. It was amazing! There were long canoes with a crew of rowers and a person leading the whole group with a drum.

The rowing teams

The swam in the Quay

The swams and seagulls of the Quay.
And, one more thing, the weather was very sunny and hot. We needed suncream! Then, we went to the city centre where we met the older students and they had free time to walk around the city centre and eat healthy food. Some of the students even went to the cinema!
KFC and healthy food?

More healthy food.

Others went to visit the Cathedral.

Tomorrow more...

Thursday, 4th of July

Hi there, again! A new day in IPC school! It has been very hot and sunny, mainly in the afternoon, so, we are starting to know the British summer! And the weather forecast says it is going to be warm and sunny for a few days... We'll see!
As always, lessons in the morning. There is no new news, except that Francesc, Marc and Jaume have arrived on time! Good for them!
There is a good atmosphere in the school with the leaders and the wide range of European students.
After lunch, we had the different groups going to the different trips: Exmouth, Sydmouth and Dawlish Warren. We, the teachers, joined the second group and went to Dawlish Warren. It's a big beach, with a big red rock and a long and beautiful promenade.

Some of the students went playing on the beach, some went for a walk, some had a cream tea, some went up the big rock, others played football and the rest, just, sunbathed. Yes, sunbathing in England!

A nice and sunny afternoon on the beach...
The anecdote of the day: Marta has bought a 'deodorant spray for English women.'

Tintagel

Saturday, 6th July
What a day! Today we have a school trip to Tintagel and Padstow. It's at two hours from Exeter but it is an incredible place to visit. The landscape is so beautiful! There are lot of cliffs by the sea, nice beaches, rocks and caves. It's said that the ruins of the castle of Tintagel are the origin of King Arthur's legend. Then, we could also visit Merli's cave! A really amazing place!
Now, there are only crows and seagulls living there.

An amazing view!

Look at them!

Look at the coast line!

We need a break.

A crow resting in the ruins.

A picture in the ruins.

Adri and the coast line.

Merli's cave.

In the afternoon we went to Padstow, a nice fishing town by the sea, the smell was a bit weird though! A mixture of fish and chips, fresh fish, the sea breeze... And, of course, we had our cream tea. Mmmmmm!
